What was the highlight of Hôtel Château de la Tour
Overall, enjoyable and met expectations
Location and the hotel were nice. Staff were attentive when you could find them.
Food costs were very expensive for what we received. We went off premises to get breakfast and dinner. There was no curtain for the tub so when standing to take a shower, water would get everywhere. The least you could have done was add a shower curtain.

A good hotel with a great one still waiting to emerge
This is a hotel of two-halves. The ground floor has been refurbished and rocks that popular, open-style, modern layout with light oak floors and mushy, warm, soft colours. Our room was on the first floor and clearly the designers brief had not yet reached this part of the hotel. It's a bit dated with a small room for a loo and separate en-suite. A little quirky but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room, however, was a little tight on space. However, it is quite possible that the hotel has more modern and (certainly) larger rooms to offer those that wish to spend more. The rest of the hotel is pretty impressive. The gardens, pool and parking areas were lovely. It has a restaurant but you've got to check when it's available. We wanted an evening table and it was closed til the following lunchtime by which time we had to leave. We are not big breakfasters, so hardly ever bother unless it's included the price. Here, if I recall correctly, they wanted nearly 25 euros per person. From what I could gather the next morning, that kind of price had deterred even the most avid of heavy 'breakfasters'. If you must have a coffee and croissant before facing the day, I'd recommend you take a walk down the hill and turn right into Avenue Francis Tonner where, after 15 minutes, you'll find a bar and boulanger. It's a busy road and a 'vibrant' community but you'll be fine....just don't wear your best Rolex. Other than that the hotel's building architecture and gardens are really rather gorgeous. It struck me that there's a great hotel in here still waiting to finally emerge. But when it does I'm sure prices will rise in accordance. Overall: good and I'd stay here again if in this area.
Encourage guests to have a drink in the bar area (1) to increase your revenue and (2) to provide a more convivial atmosphere. It's not a gripe...more of an observation :-)

What was the highlight of Hôtel Château de la Tour
It could be paradise
The hotel is nicely located just outside the city in the hills, with a well-kept garden. The lobby area is beautifully designed. There are plenty of parking spaces. From the outside, the castle-like building is in good condition and looks impressive.
Room in urgent need of renovation. The carpet was incredibly stained, the bathroom outdated. And especially bad: very, very, very noisy. Really every little noise from the other rooms could be heard, as if there were no walls between them at all. Depending on the ‘activity’ of the neighbours, it was impossible to get any sleep. And who actually comes up with the idea of placing a table and two chairs for smoking guests to smoke right under the windows of some rooms? Smoke kept coming into my room the whole time.

Gorgeous chateau, friendly staff and comfy bed.
Breakfast was very average and expensive
